BIBLE STUDY
Topic: An Unexpected Banquet
Text: Esther 5
Guided Questions:
1. When Esther "put on her royal robes," the phrase literally meant, "put on her royalty." We too will have a meeting with our King one day. Amos 4:12 warned Israel to "Prepare to meet your God!" in a negative sense, in fear and trepidation. No doubt Esther had fears, but she allowed faith in God to be her best preparation to meet this human king.
What are some ways we can prepare to meet our heavenly King, helping us to be ready on that day? (Read: John 15 4-8; 1 Thessalonians 5: 17-18; Romans 10:17; Colossians 3:16, 17: 2 Timothy 2:15
2. Esther found favor with Ahasuerus (was lifted up in his sight with grace) because of this bold step. What did he ask this brave woman (v. 3)? What was her unexpected request in view of the seriousness of what she had done (v. 4)?
Join the Bible Study via Zoom (see information below) each Wednesday for 10 weeks as we study the book of Esther. We hope to take you to a place of trusting the direction of God and also to discover the fullness of your purpose here on earth.

October 2020 Theme: Offstage Drop the Act
Living with integrity means that we choose to be truthful in whatever we say and do. There's no need to hide or pretend. We can drop the act and choose to be who God made us to be. Because we know that God is good, we can live life with integrity. Who we are in private should match who we are in public. When we trust in God, we can be truthful in whatever we say and do.
CORE INSIGHTS: TRANSFORMATION • COMMUNITY
Week Three Oct 18
ELEMENTARY: Naaman and Elisha's Servant — 2 Kings 5
BOTTOM LINE: When you're not truthful, you lose trust.
PRETEENS: Naaman and Elisha's Servant — 2 Kings 5
KEY QUESTION: Why is it important for people to trust you?
"Anyone who lives without blame walks safely. But anyone who takes a crooked path will get caught." Proverbs 10:9, NIrV
PRESCHOOL/TODDLER: Please visit the Parent Cue YouTube channel for Sunday at home videos. Every Sunday there will be new Bible stories/lessons for your little ones.
October 2020 Theme: Sing in the Rain
When we are faced with tough situations, it's important to think about what is true. The truth is, no matter how big our situation is, God will always be bigger. God is always with us, caring for us, and listening to us when we talk to Him.
CORE INSIGHT: CONNECTION
Week Three Oct 18: Hagar — Genesis 21:14-20
